It’s what you want to be in business. But have potential clients thought that about you?
Here’s an easy way to know: how simple is your message? Can you condense what you do into a sentence? Do you know your ideal client and their pain points?
I’ve heard people say things like “I’m too good at too many things to narrow it down.” Or “what I do is so complicated that it can’t be said in a sentence.”
Maybe you’re right. But if you can’t say it in a sentence, I’d bet that your potential clients can’t either.
Nor can your existing clients, who may want to refer you but simply can’t because it’s too hard to explain what you do and for whom.
Too complicated, too forgettable.
