Strengths v. Weaknesses

There’s a dilemma we all face when it comes to improving ourselves: do we focus on improving our deficiencies, or adding to our considerable strengths?

We’ve all received certain gifts. We’re better at some things, and average (or less) at others.

It’s clear that focusing on our strengths is our greatest advantage. Just look at the statistics of top performers. People at the top of their field aren’t a little better than average, they’re tens, hundreds, or even thousands of times better than many of their peers.

Our strengths are our gifts. Rather than focusing on improving the things we’re not naturally good at, we should instead harness and focus our gifts.
