Create, Don’t Critique

I’m a big fan of hip-hop.

One of my favorite hip-hop artists is Logic. He’s got a message, he’s positive, and he’s done well for himself independently.

A lot of people criticize him for various reasons, and it got me to thinking.

While he’s off creating music worthy of conversation by critics, the critics are adding nothing. Their work is derivative and dependent on the creativity of others.

Not only that, but those same critics could hone their own craft instead of commenting on the work of others.

Criticism comes as the expense of creativity.

In your business, what are the opportunities to create instead of critique?
